IT’s Time For another election in Punjab
Filling up the nomination for six municipal corporation elections will be starting from today onwards. From Feb 7 to Feb 11 and starting from 11 am to 3 pm noon the papers will be filled. The six cities of the state namely Bathinda, Mohali, Pathankot, Moga, Phagwara and Hoshiarpur’ councilor will be elected on February 22. Result will be declared on 26th Feb. Similarly, for the nomination of 123 cities’ municipal committee the papers will be filled on 9 Feb and they will
be conducted on 25 Feb. The Election Commission decided to elect the vice election of 1 ward of Chandigarh and 2 ward of Patiala. The delay in the notifications of this election publicly arose many questions. It seems that public and other corporation members are deliberately ignored. 7 lakh and 91 thousand voters will nominate their selected candidates in the six main cities of Punjab. Election Commissioner Shavinder Singh Brar declared yesterday the final date for municipal election. Deputy Commissioner has allocated the returning officers.
All the papers will be filled on 11 and they will be thoroughly investigated on 12 th Feb. The returning officers will alert their election symbols on 13. There will be around 50-50 words for the municipal corporation election. In Moga, Bathinda, Phagwara and Hoshiarpur 13 wards will be under reserved category. In Mohali 5 and In Pathankot 9 ward will be reserved. Election Commission will count the votes in the evening on 25 for municipal committee election. There is a meeting scheduled for BJP in Punjab for Municipal Election on 9 and 10 February at Chandigarh. The state head Kamal Sharma has encouraged the Party workers for election. He said that they should start for the victory of the Party Members.
